Taiwan Visa Requirement

Requirements

Original new passport with a minimum validity of 8 months before departure, and the old passport.
Two (2) photos, size 4×6 cm, with a white background and the face taking up 70% of the image. You must not wear glasses, hats, soft lenses, or other accessories.
The last 3 months of bank statements. (Time deposit statements are only supplementary documents and cannot be a substitute for the 3-month bank statement).
Photocopy of Family Card (KK), ID Card (KTP), marriage certificate, birth certificate, and name change certificate (if any).
An employment sponsorship letter in English, on company letterhead that includes the company’s address and phone number, which must be stamped.
- For business owners, attach the SIUP (Trade Business License), NIB (Business Identification Number), and Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) approval.
- If the applicant is a housewife, a sponsorship letter from the husband (in English) is required.
- All sponsorship letters must be addressed to the: Taipei Economic and Trade Office.

Ticket booking / Flight Number (as this is required for the online form).
Name of the hotel for the duration of the stay in Taiwan.
Copy of Family Card (KK), applicant’s phone number, and email address.
Parents’ Data (Father and Mother): Name, address, phone number, and status (living/deceased).
The Taiwan online visa (Travel Authorization Certificate) only permits a stay of up to 14 days. To be eligible, you must meet the following conditions:
- You must possess a visa from the USA, European Union (Schengen), United Kingdom, Australia, Japan (sticker visa), or Korea.
- This visa must either be currently valid OR have expired within the last 10 years from your online application date.
- A copy of this visa must be attached as proof.
- Crucially, the visa must have been used at least once before.

Notes:

Single Entry: The visa is valid for 3 months (can only be used once) with a stay of up to 30 days per visit.
The visa’s validity will begin from the date of issue / the date the visa is collected from the embassy.
The processing time is calculated from the date the documents are submitted to the embassy, not from when they are submitted to a central office/agency.
1-Year Multiple-Entry: The visa is valid for 12 months (can be used any number of times while the visa is valid) with a stay of up to 30 days per visit.
